Funeral Arrangements for Brother Frank Yako

Brother Frank Yako passed away Thursday, July 16 .  There will be a viewing at Ripepi & Sons Funeral Home on Bagley Rd. in Middleburg Hts., Ohio on Monday July 20th, from 3 pm to 8 pm.  There will be a Burial Mass at St. Colette Parish in Brunswick, Ohio on Tuesday the 21st and on Wednesday, July 22nd, Yako will be lay to rest on Kelley’s Island.

May he rest in peace.

Myers To Be Featured on America’s Work Force Radio

IUEC Local 17 member Rick Myers will be appearing on America’s Work Force Radio on March 30th at 4pm.  AWF Radio plays on 1490 AM and is hosted by legendary Cleveland radio personality Ed “Flash” Ference.  The show is also live cast and archived on the website awfradio.com.

America’s Work Force is the only daily labor-radio program in America and has been on the air since 1993, supplying listeners with useful, relevant input into their daily lives through fact-finding features, in-depth interviews, informative news segments and practical consumer reports.

Benefit to be held for Roy Skinner Jr.

On June 28th, friends of Roy Skinner Jr. will hold a benefit pig roast to help pay for upgrading Roy’s home with wheelchair access. Roy, 35, is a former member of IUEC Local 17 who left the trade after an August 2011 motorcycle crash left him paralyzed from the waist down.

There will be games, door prizes, a 50-50 raffle along with a Chinese auction of gift baskets. Those attending are encouraged to bring side dishes in disposable containers. A portion of the cash donations will be given to the National Spinal Cord Injury Association Foundation at Metro General Hospital.

Funeral Services For Goggin Set

It is with deep sadness to report the passing of Local 45 Brother James J Goggin. Brother Goggin is the son of Brother James F Goggin, the brother of Brother Tom Goggin and Nephew of Brother John Goggin. The family will receive friends at Green Family Funeral Home, State Rt. 44 and Pioneer Trail on Friday 4-8pm. Funeral service will be Saturday 9:30am at the Funeral Home.

Retiree’s Dinner Date Changed
