In building this site we are taking ideas from other locals and labor sites and incorporating the best information we can find to keep you informed of what is going on locally and nationally in the labor movement.

For the latest news on what is happening at IUEC Local 17, go to the News & Events page.  This is where you will find birth and death announcements, continuing education opportunities, event announcements and general items of interest.  Also, look to there for news on the upcoming convention and updates on the contract.

If you are an apprentice, then the JATC page is where you will find news and information on the apprenticeship program.

In Galleries we have photos of our different IUEC Local 17 events.  Peruse the Gallery section and see just how much fun it is to be an elevator constructor!

Links is the ultimate source for your ability to stay in contact with the International, NEIEP, the benefits office and other highly useful union sites.  We also include links to our IUEC Local 17 signatory company websites as well as contact information for the local offices.

The Articles page gives you access to the latest articles from the Elevator Constructor and the Cleveland Citizen. We are currently working on an archive section so you can go back and read articles you might have missed or reread one you particularly enjoyed.

Finally, in the top right of the page you will see two RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed links;  one for Posts and the second for Comments.  If you click on the Posts RSS feed and set it up to either feed into your browser bookmarks or a desktop RSS feed reader, you will be instantly updated whenever a news item is posted.  There is no ability to post comments on the site at this time.
